Updates & Corrections

Flatcap claimed Walter Huston directed Moby Dick.  It was in fact, John Huston.

That ‘musical about gangs’ Jordan mentions is West Side Story.

Flatcap refers to the New Jersey Jets.  He meant the New York Jets.

I did a summer job in Holland, mostly to check for the soil strength in one case we went to a very old house the kind that is thatched and made of wood. Apparently a rich banker from Amsterdam bought the place, and did not like the wooden flooring so he replaced almost all of the flooring in the house with heated tiles. This house is located in north Holland and the entire region is basically peat and a lot of it at this site there was at least ten meters before you hit sand(it was clay and peat both really soft and will move more like a liquid over time), and so when we went inside to look what used to be his living room was at least a meter lower than the where the foundation should be. So he attempted to fix the problem by putting sand down to fill the gap. But because of the weight of the sand it just made it even worse.

No one bothered informing him that its not just for looks that they used thatch and wood, its light material.

I had rich bankers in my basement once too. They’re like bedbugs!
